Aline Zanella (in) After Ports 1961 FW 11.12, Model’s Portraits
Meet Aline from Brazil! Very confident and magnificently haunting on the runway, she made an impression on me after Ports 1961, probably because of the intensity and effort she gave even if it was simply street photos. She was very nice.
I kind of regretted not talking to her then since she was outside for a while, but there were so many other girls to catch. Plus, I am too shy to talk to most of the models I have photographed in the first season of interaction anyway.
Aline walked Diane von Furstenberg, Rodarte, Ports 1961, Araks and Theyskens’ Theory in New York and was an exclusive for Valentino. Numerous sources online indicated that she luckily celebrated her 16th birthday at the beginning of New York Fashion Week, or otherwise, Diane von Furstenberg would have had two 15-year-old models walking in her show.
What do you think about the age restriction on the runway? Is 16 still too young? What do you think is the right age for a model to grace the international catwalks? The right age for a model to pose provacatively in editorials and campaigns?
